Miss Gay Alaska America was founded in 2023 by Gigi Monroe to establish a place for Alaskan Drag on the national level. Lamia Monroe was crowned the first Miss Gay Alaska America on November 18, 2023. She and her first alternate, Miss Indys Guise competed at Miss Gay America in January 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Miss Indys Guise won Most Photogenic. Gigi won the Best New Promoter award! Overall, Alaska had a very strong showing and a great experience.
